Celebrate the 10th National Monarch Festival
”Wings of Freedom”
February 21-26, 2023
For the 10th year, the Monarch Sister Schools Program (MSSP) will celebrate the National Monarch Festival with dance and music performances, classes, information and entertainment. Join the MSSP for the 2023 Tour of Mexico’s Monarch Country for a two-day extension that includes visiting the festival.
The festival events, classes and performances are held in Valle Verde, Zitácuaro, Michoacán, near the nature reserve where Monarchs overwinter. For more pictures and video recordings, visit the festival Facebook page:

MSSP was created to rally students in the U.S. and Mexico to save the treasured Monarch butterfly from extinction, and to help preserve its amazing 3000 mile international migration through habitat restoration.
